George Robotham
George Robotham is a Graduate Waterway Scientist / Engineer at SLR Consulting (formerly Hydrobiology) in Brisbane. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Geography from the University of Leicester and works across fluvial geomorphology, hydrology and hydraulics, and environmental reporting for mining and urban development projects in Australia.
His technical focus is sediment transport and erosion modelling, combining physically based approaches such as GeoWEPP with stochastic Monte Carlo methods (SSDM) to quantify sediment export uncertainty at catchment scale. At 12ASM he presents a hybrid sediment export model developed for an operating coal mine in Queensland, integrating GeoWEPP and SSDM across 173 sub-catchments to characterise sediment yield under semi-arid conditions.
