Sam Munger

Based in Brisbane, Samuel Munger is a Graduate Waterway Scientist at Hydrobiology specialising in environmental modelling and interpretation within fluvial systems. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Environmental and Climate Solutions from the University of Adelaide. Sam has extensive experience applying technical rigor to complex environmental challenges, including developing stochastic sediment delivery models and geomorphic risk analyses for major projects in the Pilbara and South-East Queensland. His expertise in environmental modeling is highlighted by his development of wetland water balance models and decision-support tools to optimise ecological outcomes. With professional experience spanning geo-environmental engineering, mine pit dewatering monitoring, and hydraulic analysis using HEC-RAS and ArcGIS Pro, Sam combines field data interpretation with advanced modeling. He is driven by a passion for creating resilient ecosystems and advancing sustainable environmental practices.
