Brett Ibbotson is the Program Manager for the Statewide Dam Education and Compliance Program with the Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board in South Australia. With more than 25 years of experience across the private and public sectors, he has built a diverse career in water resource management, spanning project management, policy development, risk assessment, aquatic ecology, and regulatory compliance.
Brett is recognised for his ability to bridge the gap between strategic planning and practical delivery, translating policy, science, and research into effective on-ground outcomes. His work has contributed to broad-scale catchment management, water infrastructure governance, business operations, community engagement, and applied research, with a strong focus on sustainable and resilient water management solutions.
