James S Daley
James Daley is a fluvial geomorphologist specialising in the practical application of geomorphology to river and catchment management. His expertise in riverine and gully erosion, catchment sediment dynamics and river rehabilitation supports evidence-based environmental management.
With more than 15 years' experience across academia and environmental consulting, James has contributed to major government and natural resource management programs across NSW and Queensland. He combines detailed field investigations with GIS and remote sensing to develop and implement assessment programs that support effective landscape recovery across scales, from individual sites to whole catchments.
His work is guided by a lifelong fascination with the natural world and an ambition to help restore the resilience and character of Australia's rivers through a deeper understanding of how they function.
