Peter Sandercock
Dr Peter Sandercock is a Senior Associate Geomorphologist with more than 20 years’ experience in waterway and catchment management, geomorphology, environmental flows and ecosystem restoration. His work integrates geomorphology, hydrology and environmental science to support the design and management of resilient riverine and wetland systems across Victoria. He is the Project and Design Manager for Yarra Valley Water’s Upper Yarra Treatment Plant Habitat Restoration project, leading the creation of passive, low intervention wetlands designed to restore swamp forest habitat for critically endangered Helmeted Honeyeaters and Leadbeater’s Possums. Peter’s work is grounded in bringing together ecological, hydrological and engineering perspectives to deliver practical, landscape scale restoration outcomes. He focuses on solutions that strengthen ecological function, improve climate resilience and reconnect degraded systems with their natural processes.
